Dr. Puvanesvaran Sanjivee is an Economist and has more than 35 years of working experience in economics and strategic consultancy.

He started as a Commercial Analyst at IBM Southeast Asia. In the later years, he has served and an Econometrician on various research and consulting projects in the automotive, manufacturing, O&G, telecommunications, and mining sector. He has also acted as a Strategic Advisor to companies undergoing transformation especially in the O&G sector.

Dr. Puvanesvaran has a PhD in Macroeconomics from University Malaya, with research relating to the explanatory powers of the earnings function and gender wage inequality.

He also possesses a Bachelors (Hons) and Masters (Distinction) in Economics from the same university. In 2009, he was awarded the Mokhzani Memorial Gold Medal by the Malaysian Economic Association for having been the best graduate student in Economics at University of Malaya.
